Over the past year, Atlantic Ultraviolet Corporation® has unveiled a new brand identity while not losing the nostalgia for its predecessor. Originally created in the 1960s, the company’s first logo embodied something of the times with its geometric letters and focus on clean shapes. While it received some tweaks in recent decades (thinner letters for readability, and the addition of “Since 1963”) it virtually remained the same for almost 60 years.
The Evolution to the New Brand Identity
The new brand identity captures the essence of the original while bringing it into a new era. The typeface (All Round Gothic with custom alterations) is similar but wider, for even greater readability at small sizes. The A and U in the lettermark have been brought into a containing shape and moved to the left to work better with the text. Since the light and dark values of blue represent the two main substances their products disinfect (air and water), a curve has been added to reference both.
New Brand Identity Features Animated Logo
The logo has been animated for use on all their videos moving forward — also incorporating a new 60 Years seal. See it below and watch their About Us Video to learn their history, meet their team, and understand their mission.
Upcoming Corporate Site Completes Brand Identity
The company is finishing a new ecommerce site that will feature a bold air and water design in its header, as well as new air, water, and lamp category images on its home page.
About Atlantic Ultraviolet Corporation® (AUV)
Germicidal Ultraviolet Equipment & Lamps – Manufacturers / Engineers / Sales / Service
In 1963, Atlantic Ultraviolet Corporation® began engineering and manufacturing ultraviolet water purifiers, air / surface disinfection models, and germicidal UV lamps for residential, commercial, and industrial applications. They continue to engineer and manufacture their products in the USA.
Germicidal ultraviolet lamps used in Atlantic Ultraviolet’s products produce short wave rays that are lethal to bacteria, viruses, and other microorganisms. Well-established as a method of choice, ultraviolet technology is effective, economical, safe, quick, and easy to use due to its by-product free process. The method is unique, without the use of heat or chemicals.
