Your healthcare setting is susceptible to tragic outcomes. According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC), healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) represent a major cause of preventable patient illness. Airborne infectious agents can be the cause of many HAIs. The SANITAIRE® UV Air Sanitizer can help to lessen your risks by the use of germicidal ultraviolet light.
Stagnant air creates the perfect environment for bacteria, virus, and mold to reproduce. These pathogens quickly sneak up on your staff and patients when they breathe infected air or handle objects harboring an infection. In your hospital or healthcare location, this can be more than a nuisance—it can mean life or death.
Airborne Infections are Often Preventable with Germicidal Ultraviolet Light
Lessen the risk of infections in your facility with an automatic ultraviolet disinfection system. The continuous operation makes these systems particularly effective in areas where the risk of cross-infection is high. TB treatment areas, burn centers, intensive care areas, chemotherapy rooms, nursing homes, and kidney dialysis centers are just a few of these spaces.
The SANITAIRE® Ultraviolet Air Sanitizer uses ultraviolet light in the C wavelength (UV-C). It destroys the DNA structure of airborne infectious microbes—even those that are drug-resistant. Influenza, pneumonia, staphylococcus (MRSA), streptococcus (strep), coxsackie, and tuberculosis (TB) are only a handful of the bacteria, virus, and mold microbes to which germicidal ultraviolet light is lethal. The SANITAIRE® pulls air from the occupied enclosed space into its polished, reflective exposure chamber where it receives UV-C radiation for a precise amount of time. Bacteria-free air then moves through a louvered panel and back into the room.
The SANITAIRE® Ultraviolet Air Sanitizer is a Safe and Economical Solution for Your Facility
Your hospital, doctor’s office, or healthcare facility has many levels of disinfection procedures—all using a variety of your resources. The SANITAIRE® requires minimal maintenance. It is an automatic, safe, rapid, and chemical-free method. No special training is required for maintenance or installation. This saves your organization time and money.
The overall design of the SANITAIRE®, including its STER-L-RAY ® Germicidal UV-C lamps, uses less energy to operate and provides more UV output than its competition. Lamps (UV tubes) only require a change about once a year. Lamps are completely enclosed within a reflective, stainless steel exposure chamber. Key integrated features and optional accessories make it safe for use in any application with no risk of over-exposure.
