Atlantic Ultraviolet Corporation® provides a quality, USA made UV-C lamp commonly known in the industry as G48T5L.
The STER-L-RAY ® (by Atlantic Ultraviolet Corporation®) Germicidal Ultraviolet UV-C lamp G48T5L (part #05-1334-R) 
is a single-pin, double-ended lamp that is 55 watts and 1148 mm in length when measured base face to base face. It is additionally classified as an instant start lamp and utilizes a coil filament on each end. Lamp life is governed by the life of the electrodes and is affected by the frequency of starting. This germicidal lamp is well suited to applications requiring high ultraviolet intensity, such as water disinfection, surface disinfection, and air purification in duct systems.
The STER-L-RAY ® Germicidal Ultraviolet Lamp G48T5L (also referred to as a UV-C lamp) is a shortwave, low pressure tube that produces ultraviolet wavelengths lethal to microorganisms.
The G48T5L lamp (also referred to as part number 05-1334-R) is made in the USA which ensures the UV output and life of the lamp will reach and maintain optimum output throughout the 10,000 hours of rated effective life.
This lamp was designed by Atlantic Ultraviolet Corporation® especially for use in the SANITRON® Model S50C and the MIGHTY★PURE® Model MP49C (both of which are 20 gallon per minute water purifiers). Since the initial design and use in these two water purifiers, Atlantic Ultraviolet has taken advantage of the power of this lamp and have included as a standard lamp in the AeroLogic® line of UV duct equipment, SaniLIGHT® and Sani·Ray® surface disinfection fixtures, and the SANITAIRE® Room Air Sanitizers.
