QUANTUM™ Thermal Optimizer

The QUANTUM™ Thermal Optimizer valve is used to help maintain water temperature where there is a possibility that the water purifier would be cut off from flow for extended periods of time. It senses the temperature of the water inside the disinfection chamber, opening when it reaches approximately 100°F and allowing water to be drained from the system. As water is drained, cooler feed water is mixed with water in the disinfection chamber, lowering the temperature in the chamber. When the water temperature drops below approximately 90°F, the QUANTUM™ Thermal Optimizer will close, reducing the amount of water drained from the purifier.
